Scraped off the cutting room floor to promote the Bandcamp release of Beasts Of Suburban, this mini-album contains alternative versions of each of the seven tracks from the original. Not only are these versions not as good as the final official release, they’re not as good as the alternative versions including in the Box Set release of Beasts Of Suburban either. So that’s the one you really need to get. But for the deeply committed TISM aficionado, these versions are certainly interesting, if only for the distorted live in the rehearsal studio audio quality. And if money’s a bit tight - it’s free. Though we would encourage a payment of what you feel is reasonable, as the band have asked us to replace the costumes that were shredded and thrown to the crowd at the Launceston Mona show.

I get the feeling that DC was having a hard time of things when this was being made. "Market Forces" is possibly the bleakest story he's ever put out, and leaves me feeling genuinely uncomfortable and with zero faith in humanity. It's great. "Something Good" is the cure for this feeling and ultimately it holds an even bigger payoff; this is the moment when he truly took off his mask. Well, possibly anyway, maybe he was just joshing, you know what he's like. yadoog
